The Tornado Lighting Enclosure was conceived with all medium size moving yoke luminaires in mind. It can be mounted in any position and provides complete environmental protection for the luminaire. The sturdy fiberglass body is topped with an acrylic globe, which provides 360° of pan and 250° of tilt freedom. The globe is held securely in place with four latches around its base, two of which are padlockable. However, the globe is also easily removed to provide complete access to the luminaire for maintenance or relamping.
As with our other products, it is designed for long-term and permanent installations in exterior environments where minimum maintenance is required. But it can also be used in indoor environments where conditions may be detrimental to moving lights (dust, smoke, high humidity, contact with moving bodies or objects).
While the enclosure body provides basic protection for elements, the interior is climate controlled through the DEC (Digital Enclosure Control) System. This system is composed of a controller, cooling elements (in this case, 2 fans), and a heating element. By monitoring the enclosure environment, the DEC System can control temperature and humidity inside the enclosure. By doing this, condensation can be eliminated and thermal stress can be significantly reduced.
In the end, this complete protection system will reduce maintenance, increase lamp life, extend fixture life, and save you money in your outdoor use of moving yoke luminaires. |
